If you have ever visited our club on a Tuesday or Wednesday morning, you may already be familiar with Little Wings Australia. An incredible organisation that believes your journey is their mission, providing much needed transport for sick children and their families from Regional NSW to hospitals and home again! Today we wanted to shine a spotlight on this amazing organisation, their support in our local communities and how you too can help support them while visiting our club.

Community is what drives Our Vision at The Westport Club. We are driven to making a significant contribution to the quality of community life and supporting others and organisations to do the same! It’s part of this vision that pushes us to support initiatives that embody these same values to make a difference – creating a connected and supportive community within our region.
Little Wings is a non-profit organisation that offers free transport to families with seriously ill children in rural and regional NSW. They offer both ground and flight transportation and aim to ease the journey and burden that families are placed into when a child gets sick. An incredible asset for those in a time of need, where the emotional, financial, and physical strain of difficult situations can often become so overwhelming that they need someone (or some people) on their team! This is where Little Wings works their magic and ensures children are able to get the lifesaving medical treatment they need and with the support of loved ones around them.

We have been supporting Little Wings Australia at The Westport Club since December 2019. Living regionally, we admire their determination to provide transport to those in need and ensure no child is disadvantaged in completing treatment when having to travel to major city hospitals. Cash Housie is on every Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, putting a spin on our traditional Club Bingo sessions and creating a lot of excitement around the big cash prizes available. Who wouldn’t want to have some fun playing bingo with friends and go home with an extra $800 in their pocket?! Our Cash Housie sessions directly support Little Wings and also provide an information source to inform our members and guests of important community initiatives happening around us!
It’s with this continued support that Little Wings can continue to expand their services further and positively impact more lives during difficult times. Their services are made possible through an amazing team of volunteers that have expertise as pilots, drivers, and events coordinators. Partnerships with local clubs, transport providers and inter-state logistics means they are able to get their message out as far as possible! The more we are able to spread their incredible mission the more Little Wings is able to make the difference to children’s lives within our community!

Join us for Cash Housie bingo each Tuesday and Wednesday morning, upstairs in the Community Lounge opposite Jimmy’s Bar & Lounge. Not only will you have fun getting competitive at bingo, with every dollar spent you can know you are also supporting this incredible organisation. Each week we have a Little Wings representative at the sessions (make sure to say hi to Leah next time you’re in!), that would love to chat more about their mission with you.
