Nutella. It’s one of those universally liked ingredients that seems to turn something standard into something incredible. It’s basically its own food category. Nutella is so versatile and loved, it’s been given a day of celebration all across the globe! February 5th is World Nutella Day.
World Nutella Day was started in 2007 by a blogger in the USA to show her devotion to Nutella. She loved felt it deserved a whole day of it’s own and clearly, a whole lot of other people agreed with her. Since this day was started, Nutella fans have come together all over the world to celebrate. These celebrations include sharing their recipes, pictures and general adoration of it on social media and other online platforms. The worldwide celebration seems to suggest that the sneaky moment of a spoonful straight from the jar must not just be our guilty little secret!
In this spirit, we have pulled together some pretty divine Nutella based recipes for you to try!
The idea of taking one of the worlds most popular foods – pizza – and turning it into a dessert has to be some kind of genius. This recipe has the iconic combination of chocolate and marshmallows and look, if that chocolate just happens to be Nutella, none of us are complaining. This would definitely be a crowd pleaser at your next dinner party!
Nutella Banana Toasties
We love this idea! This is truly something you could whip up with ingredients you are likely to have in the cupboard. Banana and chocolate always works and Nutella has been friends with toast for as long as it has existed. We bet the promise of this dessert toastie could motivate even the most stubborn child to eat a bite or two of broccoli!
Nutella Swirl Ice Cream Cake
Want to look like a pro next time you’re in charge of the cake? This recipe is surprisingly straightforward and will produce something pretty spectacular! There aren’t many people who could turn down a piece of that masterpiece.
With only 4 ingredients, this has to be one of the most simple and quick of all the recipes we found! With the flavor of Nutella and the smooth texture of mousse, there really is no faulting this one! Whip some up in the same time it takes to make a cup of coffee!
Nutella and Baileys Martini
As if Nutella wasn’t naughty enough, lets add Baileys… And we pretty much don’t need to say anything else. Try it and let us know how it is – we’ would love to hear your reviews!
Nutella Banana Bread
Well, there goes the lie we tell ourselves that banana bread is the ‘healthier’ option when popping out for some coffee and cake. This decadent version is still a big YES PLEASE from us though. It would be particularly delicious warmed up!
Nutella Stuffed Cookies
A nice chewy chocolate biscuit is a real treat – but stuffing it with Nutella takes it to a whole different level! Again, a nice simple recipe with a step by step video, so anyone can have a go! Make sure you allow these to cool down a little before trying – burning yourself on hot liquid Nutella would not be good for the relationship!
Salted Caramel Mocha and Nutella Brownies
Salted Caramel, coffee and Nutella. Those things are all legends in their own right, but to combine them is just pure genius, no doubt about it. The picture alone is enough to make you want to run out and buy the ingredients for this recipe RIGHT NOW.
No Bake Nutella Cheesecake
Cheesecake is an Aussie favourite and the no-bake versions are clearly an easier choice. This recipe includes an essential ingredient that you can snack on while you prepare… Ferrero Rocher’s! Yum yum.
