Community comes first
Our incredible facilities, restaurants, and overall positive aura would not be possible without such a strong community backing. There is no question that our Port Macquarie community provides constant support for our club day in and day out. The NEW Westport Club wouldn’t be possible without Port Macquarie’s undying support. This consistent loyalty and love from our fellow community members is what drives us here at The Westport Club to return the favour. We place community involvement at the top of our priorities as a club. We know we wouldn’t be here without all of you, so we want to be sure everyone in our community can see our gratitude.
As a way of showing our support, we’re hosting The Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal breakfast again, right here at The Westport Club! We’ve been long-time partners with The Salvos, and we enjoy each event more than the last.
Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal
The name may be long, but its cause is worth the extra breath! The Red Shield Appeal is The Salvation Army’s largest annual fundraising drive, and it helps support the organisation’s countless services. These services include:
- Family welfare assistance
- Drug and alcohol rehabilitation
- Disability programs
- Counselling
- Emergency/disaster relief
- Homeless shelters
This list could go on for pages and pages – the Salvation Army provides so much support for surrounding communities. This breakfast marks an important invitation to the public to donate the funds necessary to provide such impactful assistance. The Salvation Army in Australia supports over a million families each year. That’s why it’s vital for communities to put on and attend these fundraisers, generating the necessary funds to ensure the most vulnerable community members receive the help they need.
Red Shield Appeal and The Westport Club
Our Red Shield Appeal Breakfast in Port Macquarie has been a huge hit for over a decade – this year marks the 11th anniversary. Local Port Macquarie business professionals coordinate the breakfast and it’s held right here in The Westport Club. All are welcomed to attend, and 100% of the proceeds from ticket sales goes to The Salvation Army. To date, The Westport Club’s Red Shield Appeal breakfast in Port Macquarie has raised over $90,000 and this year we hope to raise over $20,000!
You can reserve your ticket now to give back to the Port Macquarie community. The breakfast is $50 a person, and this deal gets you a delicious morning meal along with the satisfaction of supporting a community member in need. You can’t beat it!
