On Mother’s Day, 13 May 2018, more than 500 participants donned their pink active wear and headed out to walk all over Breast Cancer. The Mother’s Day Classic is a national initiative that encourages members of our community to participate in a fun run in order to raise much needed funds to help with Breast Cancer Research.
Now in its fourth year in Port Macquarie, the Mother’s Day Classic involves a 5km run or walk but is also a morning of fun which also provides moral support to survivors and families of breast cancer sufferers.
Organisers Carmen and Kylie were very happy to report that this year the Mother’s Day Classic doubled its number of participants, a feat that they should be very proud of. Congratulations to all of the participants who raised funds for Breast Cancer Research, and in particular Bron Watson, whose team raised more than $4,000 alone.
The Westport Club is a proud sponsor of The Mother’s Day Classic.
