Supporting the Port Macquarie-Hastings community
Here at The Westport Club, our vision is to make a significant contribution to the quality of community life. As a result, we strive to contribute as many ways as possible. From sponsoring local festivals to offering charity specials at the club, our community support goes above and beyond. However, we know we aren’t the only organisation that shares the same passion for supporting our community.
That’s why we offer ClubGrants to local services also interested in improving community life. Do you represent a Community Group, Welfare or Volunteer Organisation that’s not for profit? If so, you are welcome to submit an application for funding from The Westport Club. The Westport Club can provide you with the financial boost necessary to start or continue your service.
Community support through the ClubGrants scheme
The ClubGrants scheme provides a simple and effective way for local community based groups and organisations to receive funding for their endeavours. Money is voluntarily donated to the service by over 500 clubs from all across New South Wales. To date, clubs have given over $1 billion to local recipients. Therefore, last year alone ClubGrants provided over $100 million to support community organisations. As a result, groups can apply for funding within three categories:
- Based on community development, community welfare and social services, and any program aimed at improving the lives of underprivileged and low income people
- Focused on general community improvements like community development and activities
- Support on a state-wide level aimed to fund large-scale community projects such as sport, emergency and disaster relief, and other sorts of infrastructure related projects
ClubGrants leaves no community member or group unnoticed. From large-scale projects like Surf Life Saving and Vision Australia to the everyday efforts of individuals. ClubGrants provides the funds needed to continue improving community life for all.
The Westport Club and ClubGrants
We love that so many of our local community partners and members share our same vision of community support and contributions. We understand that raising funds to provide support isn’t easy. This is especially the case when you want to impact as much of the community as possible. That’s why we are so passionate about providing the funding that these organisations may need, and could otherwise be unable to reach. The Westport Club offers category 1 support of up to $5,000 to help these local organisations continue their work in improving our Port Macquarie-Hastings community.
