There are some remarkable volunteers in our community and on Friday night The Westport Club showcased their amazing talents and wowed them with a memorable night to say thank you.  This was our Celebration of our Vision night where grants were given to a variety of welfare, community, education, sporting and recreational groups who successfully applied for funding via our ClubGRANTS program.

Our Greatest Show opened in spectacular style with the Westport Public School Senior Choir, fresh from their performance at the Sydney Opera House.  A special thanks Fluer Eichlier and her 30 students.  Guest also heard from student Talitah Honnel from Westport Public School and teacher/librarian Rachel Kelly, embracing the books that were donated to the school as part of The Westport Club’s Library Regeneration Program.  Special guest was former Army Special Forces and Australian Invictus Games Captain, Peter Rudland.  Pete had the audience spell-bound with his stories and words of inspiration relating to community spirit and the positive role model volunteers provide to others.

Our thanks to those organisations who share our vision in making a significant contribution to the quality of community life.
