About Slice of Haven food and wine festival

Slice of Haven food and wine festival is an annual event that was first created to stimulate the local economy in the Camden Haven region of New South Wales, Australia. The festival is designed to showcase the wealth of local food suppliers and products, as well as the people behind these businesses. Supported by the local Chamber of Commerce and run completely by volunteers, the festival has been running since 2008, when event numbers were around 1,500. Now in its 10th year, Slice of Haven Festival now attracts in excess of 15,000 visitors to the region each year – how awesome is that!?

Getting there

The best way to get to Slice of Haven Festival is to car pool, catch public transport or get dropped off. With over 16,000 people expected to attend, car parking will probably be quite tricky. So why not do the organisers (and the environment) a favour and minimise the amount of cars at the event. If you’re having a couple of drinks on the day, be safe and organise a designated driver.

What to bring to Slice of Haven

Don’t forget to bring along your picnic blanket, hat, sunscreen and water bottle. Bring cash with you so you can try all of the amazing food, small change where possible. Don’t be that person who hands over a $100 note for a $4 purchase. If the skies are grey on the day, don’t let that dampen your spirits, head along anyway and bring your trendiest poncho, gumboots and umbrella! It will still be a fantastic day out and our local foodies will be counting on your support on the day!

Tickets

Tickets are not required, however all attendees are asked to make a gold coin donation on arrival. Donations are given to the volunteer groups who help to run the event. Don’t forget to take change with you!

Can I bring my dog / cat / alpaca along?

Due to food safety legislation and also the sheer bulk of event-goers, remember to leave your furry friends at home. This will make for a safer, more enjoyable experience for all, including for the pets.
