The Race that Stops a Nation created a fantastic excuse to stop, enjoy and relax at the Westport Club for Melbourne Cup Day 2019. The fashion this year was absolutely incredible, the standard has definitely raised the bar for our celebrations next year! Our team could not believe the fabulous shoes, hats, fascinators and dresses that walked through our doors, it was simply beautiful. Not to forget the gents, who really stepped it up to meet the ladies – unquestionably dapper. The club was alive with fun, laughter and chatter, the day flew past in a blur of colour and joy – the way all of the best days do!
Our Long Lunch hosted over 130 people for a delicious meal at The Westport Club Event Centre, where Fashions on the Field presented an almost impossible decision for our judges! Our Jimmy’s Bar and Lounge event treated over 50 people to a VIP experience with our stunning river view. Our Seafood Basket special was a hit in Aqua Restaurant, and Hastings Coffee Co was filled with hungry customers for pre-race lunch!
The launch of our Beach to Bush Drought Relief sponsorship campaign was also a notable event on the day, with many of our customers choosing to give from of their winnings – we live in such a fantastic and generous community! You can find out more about Beach to Bush here.
