It’s one of the biggest days on the Australian racing calendar and kick starts the Spring Racing Carnival with a gruelling 3,200m ride. It’s an excuse to throw on your favourite frock, don a fabulous hat, and head out for an afternoon of fun and frivolity. Whether you’re into the horse races or not, the 2018 Melbourne Cup Day Celebrations at The Westport Club had something for everyone, and were certainly enjoyed by all in attendance.
Several hundred fashionable ladies and gentlemen attended The Westport Club’s Melbourne Cup event, celebrating the great race in style! 100 attendees enjoyed a fabulous Long Lunch at The Westport Club Event Centre, and many joined in the celebrations in Jimmy’s Bar & Lounge, to watch the race on the big screen or get the VIP treatment in our first-ever Melbourne Cup VIP area. Aqua Restaurant was full to the brim with customers who enjoyed a delicious 3 course lunch special, and Hastings Coffee Co. was pumping out lots of our special ploughmans platter paired with Mimosas!
With so much activity going on across Melbourne Cup Day, it’s fair to say that the Westport Club was abuzz with activity from morning until night, and definitely was the place to be in Port Macquarie to celebrate the big race in 2018.
